Youth Mobility Scheme Visa

The Youth Mobility Scheme Visa allows young people from certain countries and territories to live, work, and travel in the UK for up to 2 years (or 3 years for citizens of Australia, Canada, and New Zealand). To be eligible, applicants must be aged 18 to 30 (or 18 to 35, depending on their nationality) and meet a financial requirement of £2,530 in savings.

Visa Details:

  • Application Fee: £298
  • Healthcare Surcharge: £776 per year
  • Stay Duration: Up to 2 years, or 3 years for citizens of Australia, Canada, and New Zealand
  • Work Rights: You can work in most jobs, be self-employed, or start your own business under certain conditions. However, you cannot work as a professional sportsperson.
  • Limitations: You cannot access public funds, extend the visa (unless from Australia, Canada, or New Zealand), or bring family members with you.
