You can apply for asylum if you are unable to return to your home country due to a well-founded fear of persecution based on race, religion, nationality, political opinion, or membership of a particular social group.

You should apply as soon as possible after arriving in the UK. Delays can negatively affect your case unless you can provide a valid explanation.

You will usually have a screening interview followed by a substantive interview with the Home Office, where you explain your claim in detail. A decision will then be made on your case.

In most cases, asylum seekers are not allowed to work. However, there are limited exceptions depending on how long your claim has been pending.

You may have the right to appeal the decision. Our immigration court representation ensures your case is properly challenged with strong legal arguments.
