The BNO Visa is available to British Nationals (Overseas) and their immediate family members, such as a partner or children under 18. Adult children born on or after 1 July 1997 can apply independently if they meet the requirements. Applicants must also have sufficient financial resources to support themselves in the UK.
The visa can be issued for either 2.5 years or 5 years. After living in the UK for 5 continuous years, BNO visa holders can apply for indefinite leave to remain (ILR). After 12 months on ILR, applicants are eligible for British citizenship.
Yes, the BNO Visa allows holders to work in most jobs and pursue studies in the UK. However, you cannot access public funds, such as benefits.
